Our history

The Trilolis Daycare Centre opened its doors in summer 1991 as a limited partnership between Styliani (Stella) Fouraki and Chronis Nanos, and became a general partnership in 1994. The Center was based on a vision developed by Stella Fouraki, an experienced early childhood educator who had worked in Athens and dreamed of setting up a model daycare centre to her own specifications. She chose to set up the centre in Crete, where she was originally from.

In October 2008, Trilolis moved from Nea Chora to a new building in Perivolia, Chania.

In autumn 2014, three wooden farmhouses were added so the children could learn about gardening, growing vegetables and harvesting. Planting and growing vegetables and herbs will take place in the 2016-2017 season as part of an educational programme for the children.

The centre was renovated in 2016 and a small water park was added.

Annual maintenance is performed on fire safety equipment (pressure pump to maintain pressure in the water and sprinkler systems), heat pumps and buffer tanks are replaced and the grounds are regularly cared for.
